BOONE, N.C., Oct. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Inc. (HOPS), announced today it will host a live weekly basketball radio show, "Mountaineer Talk," hosted by David Jackson and produced by IMG, which operates the nation's largest independent college sports radio network and represents Appalachian State's multimedia rights.
The hour-long show will begin airing on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. and continue each Tuesday for 10 weeks, concluding on March 10, 2015.
"Mountaineer Talk" is available on the flagship WKBC-FM 97.3 in Wilkesboro, ESPN730 in Charlotte, and other local radio affiliates.
"Mountaineer Talk" is an in-depth look at both basketball programs, conversations with the coaches and players, and an opportunity for fans to ask questions, both live and online. AMB will host the show live with their patrons as the audience for the show. AMB has signed a exclusive two-year agreement to be the host location through the 2015-16 season.
"With first-year basketball coaches Jim Fox and Angel Elderkin leading the men's and women's teams, it should be an exciting year on the hard court for the Mountaineers," said Bob Campbell, general manager of Appalachian State IMG Sports Marketing. "We are also very excited about our new partnership with AMB and the location for our call-in show."
"We are thrilled to be the host for App State's basketball 'Mountaineer Talk,'" said Sean Spiegelman, CEO of AMB. "This is the start of a great working relationship between Appalachian State IMG and AMB. The university is a vital part of this community, and we want to support it anyway we can."

We want to thank everyone who voted for us for Brewbound's Best Startup Brewery of the year award. He also presented the 1st Revolution AMB & Blood Sweat and Gears collaboration in a competition with the other breweries. We managed to win the popular vote with 34% of all votes, and the judges picked AMB as the Best Startup Brewery in the US.
We want to thank everyone who voted for AMB and supported us over the past year and a half. We have a lot of great plans coming up for the future and we can't wait to keep rocking our beers, food, and who knows what else.
